My name is Rick Putnam.  I have been collecting fine watches, particularly Rolex, for many years.  I started buying, selling, and trading watches online in 1999.  I am a lawyer in Abbeville, Louisiana.  Abbeville is a small town of about 13,000 people.  We are the Parish Seat of Vermilion Parish, which sits on the gulf of Mexico right about the middle of the state.  The southern part of the parish was very heavily affected by Hurricane Rita. We are situated 2 hours west of New Orleans (on the same line of latitude) and 3 hours east of Houston.  We are an hour and a half from Baton Rouge and 20 miles from Lafayette.  It is the heart of Cajun Country. Like most of you who visit this site, I love finding, and often buying, cool things on the internet.  Over the last several years it has sort of been my policy to make all large purchases and many smaller purchases online.  I am busy.  With a law practice, this hobby of buying and selling watches, a wife and two small children, I have learned that anything that can save me time is a good thing.
